After 5 years.And no people St.Anger was not a mistake.It was just too raw.And Load and Re-load did produce some decent songs although it was a sell out.But no fear.As ulrich pledged
The lead single, the name of which has also not yet been confirmed, is described as the most downbeat track on the album, and is said to be reminiscent of their 1990 Grammy-winning epic breakthrough single "One". The band have reportedly abandoned the solo-free approach that they followed on St. Anger, returning to complex, multi-layered arrangements such as those typically found on ...And Justice For All. The album was also described as lasting 75 minutes, and being made up of ten tracks
So what if they once changed their musical direction once.The prodigal sons of Metal are back.And thats all that matters.Sure their soft songs are great dont get me wrong.But we haven't had a great metal album since 1989. Thats 20 years.Thats an entire generation without great metal songs.But all is forgiven.Cuz they are back.It called DEATH MAGNETIC
So there.Here is my prayer to the God of metal
Dear Metal God,
Please let Metallica blow my ears to shit when i listen to their album.Please let there be another Master of Puppets.Let there be another ONE. Please let there be another Fade to black.Please let all their songs sound so fucking heavy and loud and fast its will blow pussy pretenders like Ax7 and Dragonforce to hell.God please make sure Hetfield can sing back in tune.I promise to be a bad boy and regularly sacrifice goats and bats to keep you happy.And please god don't let it suck.
P.S Give me Malmsteen's shredding skills.
